Thom Borden, a music educator with expertise in Orff, Kodaly, and children's literature was our first presenter of our 2012-2013 season. The workshop was held August 25, 2012 at CSU in the instrumental hall in the UCA.
Throughout the workshop, we were actively moving, playing instruments, dancing, singing, enjoying childrens' literature, and making music.
Some of our favorites activities of Thom's are: Possum Come a-Knockin' with recorders, the Ribbon Dance, Cookie's Week, Queen Caroline canon, Rain Compositions, and Give me Your Hand.
Thom maintains a music blog with many manipulative ideas. You can find a wealth of information for your classrooms. Check it out! http://thomborden.blogspot.com/
