History of ROCKE

1994: The idea of an OAKE chapter to serve the teachers of Colorado is planted by Ginger Littleton, Nanci Flesher and Racinda Nygren
1995: A workshop is given by Ann Laskey, funded by an OAKE Western Division Grant for area with no chapter.
1996: ROCKE is endorsed by OAKE.
1997: Kodály  Level I Certification at Colorado College taught by Joy Nelson and Dan LeJeune
1998: Kodály Level II Certification at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs taught by Joy Nelson and Dan LeJeune
1999: No courses are offered due to low enrollment at UCCS,
2000: Kodály Certification Courses begin at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
