Welcome to ROCKE: the Regional Organization of Colorado Kodály Educators! ROCKE is an affiliate chapter of the Organization of American Kodály Educators (OAKE). The mission of OAKE is to enrich the quality of life of the people of the USA through music education by promoting the philosophy of Zoltán Kodály.
ROCKE is dedicated to promoting music education at the highest level. In addition to providing inspiring and engaging workshops presented by nationally-recognized master teachers, ROCKE also provides Make-and-Take sessions at the annual CMEA Clinic/Conference each year and often offers scholarship opportunities for teachers planning to attend summer certification courses at the Colorado Kodály Institute at Colorado State University. OAKE members who are affiliated with ROCKE are also welcome to purchase octavos from ROCKE's choral library.
Summer 2020 Thank you to everyone who participated in our summer online workshops! We enjoyed getting to learn with people from all over the world and we cannot thank you enough! If you are still interested in supporting this series, we welcome donations. These will go through the Orff chapter, but will be split evenly at the end of the summer. Thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration. To donate, click here.
CDE-approved Professional Development Hours* will be available to participants at each session. Graduate credit* will be available to participants who attend all four sessions "in-person". *See the Clock Hours & Credit FAQ page for more information.
